Very unusual late Qing Dynasty (late 19th century to 1911) small Chinese scholar’s rock in a form of a natural chunk of rose quartz crystals suggesting a mountain of dramatic shape covered with glistening snow. The stone is many-sided, providing different complete views. Beautiful stone with extraordinary rich textured surface, newer fitted hardwood stand. Wonderful object for contemplation on scholar’s table, beautiful patina on the surface of the stone. Height with stand 3 inches, length of stand 2 1/2 inches.
