Item Details

Description

Fabulous antique and vintage bank lot. Bank one is a J & E Stevens Co mechanical bank. Bank is Hall's Excelsior Bank. It has been repainted from it's orginal paint with bold red and green accents on a gray building. All else appears original but it is missing the monkey/cashier. The lid does start to rise when turning the front door handle. It stands approx 5 1/2" tall and is 4" square. Bank two is from Borgfeldt & Co and depicts Charlie Chaplin standing next to a barrel. The bottom is clearly marked Borgfeldt & Co New York, Sole Licensee Patent Applied For under Charlie. Serial No 2862 Net Wt. 1 oz. The barrel is missing the slotted lid and shows paint wear. Stands approx 3 3/4" tall.
