EDWARDIAN GOLD SILK TAFFETA TWO-PIECE LACE DRESS WITH POUCHED BODICE, gold silk taffeta bodice with high neckline and tailored skirt with pleats, velvet and silk fringe trim, expertly tailored, bodice trimmed with embroidered lace over pouched front, pintucks and pleating, gold silk velvet piping, taffeta covered buttons over wooden molds, three-quarter length sleeves, bodice fully lined with polished cotton with bone stays, elaborate system of hook and eye closures. Circa 1905. Bodice approximately 36" bust, 34" waist; skirt 34" waist, 43" L.
In very good condition with evidence of shattering with significant weakness and splitting overall, splitting and shattering at waist, otherwise clean, without damage.
