A gorgeous portion of Chinese Nephrite celadon jade expertly carved depicted elderly sages and attendant traversing on their path within numerous pavilions nestled between rocky outcrop and dense of shading forest trees in mountainous highland landscape in deep relief. The Jade carving is exquisite and smooth, with beautiful iridescent, grayish-celadon color with attractive various sporadic golden-russet natural inclusions and very moist slicky appearance. The composition is sophisticated and the Jade colors iridescent are simply a feast for the eye. In Chinese symbols, Mountains (shan) are the places closest to the gods and because of their expanse and heights covey the meaning of limitless. Set on a four legged hardwood base.

Anne Adele Haddrall was born in Perth County, Canada. Moved to Toronto as a teenager and raised her family in Stratford There she established the Haddrall School of Highland Dancing sharing her love of dance with students all over Stratford. In the late 1980s, she traveled worldwide to learn and share her experience. Mrs. Anne toured Europe and collected English secretaries, French demi-lunes and crystal girandoles along with highly collectible Chinese articles. Her collection grew and filled her home with many highly collectable . Items sold at auction will towards her designated charities.
