Description
A superb Chinese carved Jade vase adorned with gnarled Lingzhi fungus handles. Geometric cavity drifts upward into a vast neck eventually meeting the domed oval lid and elliptic flaring finial. The main body decorated in elaborate reliefs of sages and attendants on their path traversing toward humble pavilion nestled within dense forest mountainous landscape scene. This gorgeous vase rest on hand carved hardwood stand, set within a snug fitting pale-creme metallic silk wrapped hard cushion, protected inside a slide lidded hardwood box. The jade shows sea-green celadon color, moist slicky smooth surface, with attractive sporadic golden russet inclusions gave additional strong three dimensional appearance on the detail reliefs.

Moved to Toronto as a teenager and raised her family in Stratford There she established the Haddrall School of Highland Dancing sharing her love of dance with students all over Stratford. In the late 1980s, she traveled worldwide to learn and share her experience. Mrs. Anne toured Europe and collected English secretaries, French demi-lunes and crystal girandoles along with highly collectible Chinese articles. Her collection grew and filled her home with many highly collectable . Items sold at auction will towards her designated charities.
