The author was a prominent Charleston journalist and publisher who wrote pro-slavery material before the outbreak of the War. This is a collection of his Southern war reporting, including many tales of Yankee perfidy.

Condition

Corners bumped and worn; bookplate on front pastedown; discoloration of some pages, very good.
