Pair of Italian Baroque-Style Giltwood Mirrors

the frames pierced and decorated with scrollwork and flowerheads, the oval pierced crests with scrolls and rocaille work.
h. 37-1/4", w. 20-1/4"

Condition

**In overall very good condition.

The gilt exhibits rubbing throughout and some scattered losses revealing the underlying gesso. Some shrinkage cracks.

The lower element of one mirror has been broken off and reattached.

The mirror plates exhibit some fogging and areas of loss to silvering, creating a distressed patina.
