Constantino Nivola (American, 1911-1988), Untitled (Figures Laying in Bed), 1978, terra cotta wall sculpture, signed and dated on bottom, overall: 7.25"h x 6"w x 3"d. Provenance: Collection of Peter Selz (Berkeley, California). Mr. Selz taught at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1965-1988 where he concurrently served as founder and director of the university art museum from 1965-1973. Before joining UC Berkeley, Selz served as Curator of Painting and Sculpture at the Museum of Modern Art, New York from 1958-1965.
