Sixth plate daguerreotype.

Full leather case. Very rarely does one have the opportunity to acquire a daguerreotype of this vintage of a house. With its square cornered foil paper mat and the simplicity of the case, it's a sure bet that this is the early 1840s. The house obviously had some significance and we can view the shrouded architecture and draw conclusions from that. The greenery puts its own spin on this lovely image.
