with objects, fruit and flowers, on canvas, image area 24" X 30", exhibited at National Academy of Design, 122nd Annual exhibition, non member entry, unsigned, well listed artist 1889-1965....Frederick Serger was born in 1889, in Ivancice in Czechoslovakia. He studied at the art academies in Munich, Paris and Vienna. He then worked mainly in New York City and Woodstock. He painted predominantly figures, landscapes and still life's. In the 1940's and 1950's, he exhibited his works in Europe and America. Sergers works are in the permanent collection of the Woodstock Art Association, the City Museum in Paris, and the San Francisco Museum of Art.
