Fine Chinese Early 19 Century Miniature Table or Stand in well carved hardwood, probably Hongmu, with a hexagonal inlaid brown marble set in the quatrefoil hardwood top; below an intricately pierced, carved and polished skirt with 4 legs shaped like Ruyi Scepters with extended curls and attached to a further curved-construction base all in mortise and tenon construction. Wood chips to 2 mitered corners of top not affecting marble, seams with slight expansion from age, small areas of re-gluing, small piece of carving missing from skirt corner above one leg. Height 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm.) X width 10 3/4 inches (27.4 cm.) X depth 7 3/4 inches (19.7 cm.).
