GERMAN METTLACH BARREL CERAMIC STEINS, LOT OF FIVE, comprising a tall mold number 690 pouring example and four mold number 675 examples with 1/2 liter size, each having ceramic inset metal lids. Each with printed "VILLEROY & BOCH / METTLACH" mark with additional impressed numerals. Late 19th/early 20th century. 6 1/2" to 13 3/8" HOA.
Pouring and one 1/2 liter example undamaged; one example with lid mount loose on handle, a dent to edge of lid, and spots of light interior discoloration; one example with small shallow chip to foot rim; one example with interior hairline adjacent to handle and light interior discoloration. Pouring example with glazed-over manufacturing flake to rim.
