Faience example with hand-brushed "V&B / M." mark, other example with printed "VILLEROY & BOCH / METTLACH / MADE IN GERMANY" mark, each with additional impressed numerals. Late 19th/early 20th century. 8" HOA.
Faience example with a shallow chip to inner foot rim, wear to edges of lid, and scattered areas of light discoloration; transfer-printed example with scattered hairlines.
