NEW YORK CITY ATTRIBUTED COIN SILVER FISH SERVER, large pierced scimitar blade decorated with engraved designs including a fish, variant Queen's handle with pointed shoulders and engraved "MW" initials. Impressed "GELSTON" mark to back with three pseudo hallmarks of a "C", lion passant, and bust and a dog or eagle head mark. Total weight: 5.155 ozt. Attributed to Henry Gelston, New York City, NY. Second quarter 19th century. 12 3/8" L.
Fine overall condition with expected wear, notably to edge of blade.
