Description
Two Pieces of Stoneware, Western PA origin, second half 19th century, a three-gallon ovoid jug dipped in cream-colored slip and decorated with a brushed vine bearing two tulips, stamped "KELIN & HARBAUGH", Beaver, PA, circa 1870; with a five-gallon stoneware jar with stenciled "5" and maker's mark, "ENTERPRISE / POTTERY CO. / NEW BRIGHTON / PA". Provenance: Collection of Harry Meyer, McDonald, PA. Jug in Excellent condition with light wear to side of spout and two very minor base chips, one of which is glazed-over. Jar with significant exfoliation to left side and reverse, as well as light wear to right handle.
