**Originally Listed At $150**
Magna Graecia, Southern Italy, Apulia, ca. 4th century BCE. A tall pottery skyphos for consuming wine with an overall symmetrical form. It has a concave footed base, a wide body, rolled rim, and twin applied horizontal handles. The underlying clay has an orange-red hue while the body has been glazed and then fired to a gleaming black, and the surface also displays a thin complementary layer of silvery iridescence. Only the exterior bottom body portion and underside of the foot are unglazed. Size: 3.75" H (9.5 cm).
