LEE/ROSE NO. 240-A CUP PLATE, light blue, 60 even scallops. Very rare. Eastern. 1830-1850. 3 1/2" D.
Near proof having only two lightly tipped and two very lightly tipped scallops.
Literature: Lee/Rose - American Glass Cup Plates, p. 190. The McKearins - American Glass, pl. 177, fig. 76, "100 Best" colored. Like Bourne - The William J. Elsholz Collection, Vol. I, p. 97, lot 374.
