Description
A GROUP OF TWO NIPPON PORCELAIN PIECES, JAPAN, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, comprising a Noritake porcelain nine lobed bowl with scalloped rim raised on three scrolled feet, with embossed gilt floral, scroll, and chain decoration and emerald green glazed highlights, marked to the bottom with blue transfer printed maple leaf, height: 2 1/2", diameter: 5 1/8"; and a Morimura Bros. porcelain two-handled vase of flattened baluster form with hand painted floral decoration between bands of gilt and stylized patterning, marked to the bottom with green transfer printed mark, height: 8 3/4".
Condition
minor rubbing to gilding, tips of lobes to dish partially regilt, one handle to vase restored, rubbing and losses to painted decoration of vase.
