PROVENANCE:
From the heirloom collections of DR. Wu Guozhen (吳國楨; October 21, 1903-June 6, 1984) was a Chinese political figure and historian, government official who served as mayor of Hankow (1932-1938), mayor of Chung-king (1939-1941), political vice minister of foreign affairs (1943-1945), mayor of Shanghai (1946-1948), and governor of Taiwan (1950-1952) and the former Chairman of Taiwan Provincial Government. He resigned in 1953 and went to the United States.
K.C. Wu lived in the United States where he served as professor of Chinese history at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia. During his time in the United States, he wrote various works, including a detailed analysis on Chinese culture in the context of mythology and early history in his book The Chinese Heritage.

Jiang Song 蒋嵩, courtesy name as as Sansong, sobriquet as Xiaoshan, Qilaishanren, Sansongjushi, from Jiangning (now Nanjing, Jiangsu). The birth and death years are unknown, time frame are between Chenghua (1464-1487) and Jiajing (1521-1567) emperor reign period of Ming Dynasty.
The master works include the Luzhou Pan boat, which is now in the Tianjin Art Museum; the Autumn Creek Twist Chart, the Endless Creek Mountain Map, the Shanghai Museum; the Let s Watch the Mountain, fishing boat Reading Palace Museum; Qiu Lin Reading Map of the Shandong Provincial Museum.
Good to paint landscape figures, painting Fa Zong Wu Wei, one of the famous Zhejiang school . I like to use the burnt ink pen, but also use the light ink, the light and the light, the one of a kind, such as fishing boat reading map, the mountain stone uses a large piece of wet ink, quite a bit of skill, although the size of the landscape, the small water but the cloud steaming fog, haze striking.
