Early 19th century English silver salver with shaped exterior border of shell decoration, and interior hand chased border with floral and scroll decoration. Central etched armorial of the clan Guthrie inscribed, "Sto Pro Veritate" which translate to, "I stand for the truth". With Sheffield city marks, maker's mark of S. C. Younge & Co., date letter of 1818, and duty mark of George III (1786-1821). Total approx. weight is 45.96 troy oz. From a Westchester, NY estate. Dimensions: 14" diameter x 1.75" h.
Condition
Light surface scratches, and minor dings/dents.
