Xu Yuan ming: Yixing Melon Teapot in dark brown clay, the exterior covered in a marbelized slip surface with brown clay handle and spout and light clay finial to cover, with 2 melon Tea Cups with brown Yixing handles and matching Plates all four with the insides covered in white crackle glaze; impressed marks to base of teapot, inside cover and base of handle; impressed marks to bases of cups, cup handles and plates. Small old glaze flake to mouth of teapot. Length from handle to spout 7 3/4 inches (19.8 cm.).
