Description
Famous 'Poor Widow's Mite' of the Bible, struck c. 103-76 BC. Seleucid anchor, Greek inscription 'BASILEWS ALEXANDPOY', wheel with 8 ray-like spokes, Hebrew inscription 'Yehonatan the King'. Set into a nice custom silver cross pendant. Cross measures: 1 3/4 in x 1 1/4 in including loop. An excellent, wearable piece of early Christian history! Ex Berkeley, CA private collection.
