Description
Famous Poor Widow's Mite of the Bible, struck c. 103-76 BC. Seleucid anchor, Greek inscription ‘BASILEWS ALEXANDPOY’ / wheel with 8 ray-like spokes, Hebrew inscription ‘Yehonatan the King’. Set into a nice custom .925 silver cross pendant and comes with an 18 in (45.7 cm) Italian silver chain. Cross measures 2 x 1 1 3/8 in (5 x 3.5 cm) including loop. An excellent, wearable piece of early Christian history! Ex Berkeley, CA private collection.
