Description
An early Victorian silver fish serving slice, in Fiddle Shell pattern with engraved monogram to terminal and foliate scroll pierced panel to the asymmetrical and curved blade. Hallmarked John James Whiting, London 1845. Length 12 inches (30.5 cm), weight 5.18 ozt (161 grams).
Condition
Appears in a tarnished state and would benefit from a clean and polish. Some general surface wear, marks and scratches and a few nicks and dints around the edge. Hallmarks and maker's marks rubbed but legible.
