Book Details: This complete antique four-volume set is bound in brown cloth with gilt spine title and emblem. Each volume is adorned with a tissue-guarded frontispiece of important figures in the history of the Netherlands. Volume 1 is enhanced with a folding map depicting the siege of Antwerp.
Condition / Notes: This antique set shows well with some typical indications of age and wear, including shelfwear and rubbing. There is minor loss and cracking to some of the spines. The bindings and text blocks are sound. Text is clear and crisp through age toning/foxing, and some light soiling.The folding map shows minor marginal loss that does not affect the map proper, and age toning. There is writing by a previous owner on the front pastedown endpapers.
