Description
Antique creamer & sugar set, made of black basalt ware by Wedgwood. Enameled armorial decorations on both - the 1868 Coat-of-Arms of Canada, with scrolls underneath reading CANADA and QUEBEC. The Coat-of-Arms would change in 1921 to a design similar to the one in use now. Both well marked with incised marks - WEDGWOOD ENGLAND, as well as an S on one and D on the other, and also with handwritten number marks. Dates back to the period 1891-1908. Measurements: Approx.
