1782 Holland & U.S. Commerce Medal, silver, 1782 Medal commemorating the treat of amity and commerce between the United States of America and the Netherlands, silver, part of the American Series, approx. 12.4 grams, 34 mm diam.

Notes/Literature: This lot available for inspection at the gallery 9am-4pm, Monday through Friday. Beautifully designed, this medal represents the Treaty of Commerce between Holland and the United States, signed at The Hague October 7, 1782. A personification of Fame, seated in clouds with shields representing Holland and America, appears on the obverse. A monument, including the shield of Amsterdam, is present on the reverse
