Description
A pair of Egyptian scarabs, New Kingdom, c. 1570 - 1075 BC, the first a lovely carnelian example carved in nice quality stone with an incised star on the base, 13 x 11.5 mm, the second a faience scaraboid with domed back, the base with standing deity holding a staff, 12.5 x 10 mm. Both holed lengthwise for suspension. Ex Peter Cheremisinoff collection, NJ.
