Luigi Mayer (1755-1803) Aquatints Ca.1801-03 (6). Six color plates from 'Views in Egypt, from the Original Drawings in the Possession of Sir Robert Ainslie Taken during His Embassy to Constantinople' by Luigi Mayer. Published by Thomas Bensley for R. Bowyer, London, 1801. Plates include: 1) Top of the First Pyramid of Gizah. 2) An Egyptian Ball at Ned Sili. 3) An Egyptian Fair at Kaft Radoin. 4) The Sepulchre of Absalom. 5) Principal Square in Grand Cairo, with Murad Bey's Palace. 6) Joseph's Hall in the Castle of Cairo. Smallest print measures 17.75-in. x 12.5-in., largest print measures 18.25-in. x 12.75-in. All unframed, loose and not mounted or glued down. If lot is absent of a condition report, a condition report may be requested via email. Condition report is provided as an opinion only and is no guarantee as grading can be subjective.
