Luigi Mayer (1755-1803) Aquatints Ca.1801-03 (6). Six color plates from 'Views in Egypt, from the Original Drawings in the Possession of Sir Robert Ainslie Taken during His Embassy to Constantinople' by Luigi Mayer. Published by Thomas Bensley for R. Bowyer, London, 1801. Plates include: 1) The Principal Street in Bethlehem. 2) Sepulchers of Arabian Saints Near Rosetta. 3) Sepulchral Grots at the Head of the Harbour of Cacamo. 4) Colossal Sarcophagus Near Castle Rosso. 5) Entrance of the Chapel of the Holy Sepulcher. 6) Sarcophagi and Sepulchers at the Head of the Harbour of Cacamo. Smallest print measures 18.25-in. x 12-in., largest print measures 13.375-in. x 17.875-in. All unframed, loose and not mounted or glued down.
