Artist Fred Stonehouse was selected to represent Wisconsin in Absolut Vodka’s "Absolut Statehood†1991-1993 campaign. This 39â€x26†signed lithograph has a smudge on the white border only. Each lithograph in our auction of (51) “Absolut Statehood†prints is a signed artist’s proof numbering 358/400.
One of the most ambitious art projects by Absolut Vodka is "Absolut Statehood.†The campaign, which lasted two years, spotlighted one work each of the 50 American states and the District of Columbia; each done by a talented local artist from that state.  A different work appeared every other week in USA Today.  A limited edition of 400 lithographs of each work, signed and numbered by the artist, were sold to the general public for $300 each. All revenues from these sales went to the national US organization Design Industries Foundation for AIDS (DIFFA). No frame, print only. Examine all photos closely.
