GEORGE S. PATTON, JR. (1885-1945). United States Army officer best known for commanding mechanized armies as a General during World War II, well known for his controversial outspokenness, nicknamed "Old Blood and Guts."
January 14, 1943-Dated World War II Period, Postal Airmail Envelope Signed, "Command G S Patton Maj Gen." in blue ink at the lower left corner. This example has been PSA/DNA Certified graded Near Mint - Mint 8 for the autograph. Measures about 6.75" x 3.75" the Airmail Envelope is fully encapsulated (Slabbed). A partial Xerox transcript of the letter said to have been enclosed within this envelope (unconfirmed) is included. (2 items).
