Chinese Xuande blue and white dragon porcelain high stem bowls. Having deep bowl body and bell shape base. Meticulous finish covers the delicate clay, showing silky smooth sheen on the glaze. Deep porcelain bowl, with rounded cavetto rising to form the steep curvature, raised on a splayed countersunk tall foot base. Depiction of Thrashing Long Five-claws dragon amongst dense Li-Shui waves, flaming ruyi clouds, reaching for flaming pearls, interspersed with various floral blooms and scrolling tendril. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity. Evenly coated in a rich blue painting. Banded with a fine double ring on the upper rim , lower body and on the foot base. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finish is meticulous. The foot bordered with auspicious geometric patterns, reveals the cut edges during the making process, banded with cobalt blue numerously with auspicious patterns ribbons below the bowl and foot.
The interior foor rim bears a reign mark, a horizontal six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, Made In The Years of Xuande Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.
