Description
Dated Sept 13, 1802 and sent to His Excellency Governor Harrison Vincennes Indiana Territory. The letter is addressed My Dearest Nancy and signed affectionate father. It is not know exactly who wrote the letter, but it is somebody in the family or relation to President William Henry Harrison. Interesting content about travel through the country, yellow fever in Philadelphia, a trip that they needed to take to Washington DC and more. It is possible that whomever wrote this was traveling with the future President when it was written, as some of it is definitely political. 9.5 x 15.5 (open). A signature has been clipped out of the bottom. The second page is somewhat fragile with some tears along the fold lines and some toning. Interesting piece needs more research.
