Description
A late 19th century French 800 standard silver gilt and guilloche enamel buckle, Paris circa 1880 by Léon Souloy (reg. 17th Oct 1872)
Of bowed rectangular form, with engine turned decoration covered with translucent blue enamel edged with opaque white enamel, the bands with applied diamond set X’s and leaf devices to the corners. Marked to the reverse and the silver gilt hinged section with stamp LS with a shoe between, each item also stamped with numerals 19791.
Length – 7.8 cm / 3.1 inches
Weight – 47 grams / 1.51 ozt
