Autograph document signed by Lord Cornbury (Edward Hyde, 3rd Earl of Clarendon, 1661 – 1723.) "Accompt of Contingent Disbursements made by Balthazar Guydett Adjutant to His Majesty's own Royall Reg.'t of Dragoones commanded by ye Right Honourable ye Lord Cornbury." An account sheet of various costs mostly related to moving and storage of arms and ammunition. Dated Aug. 7th 1686 through April 14, 1687. Folio, on laid with water-mark, 1 p. + 3 blank p. (large folded sheet.) Creased, light soiling, Very Good. ************************ Cornbury made his mark when he (along with a portion of his army) defected from the Catholic James II in support of the Protestant William Orange. Cornbury would later be appointed as a colonial governor for New York and New Jersey between 1701 and 1708.
