U.S. Civil War Infantry Officer's presentation sword, made by German Solingen firm PDL (P.D. Lunescchoss). The brass scabbard is engraved with the name 'Colonel Ira Coray Abbott' (to whom the sword was presented, and dated March 13, 1863. Also included are copies of the officer's military and and Civil war service records. Sword length is approx. 91.5cm (36").
