U.S. Civil War M1860 Light Cavalry Saber by Ames
Undated, 34.5-inch blade having only 'Ames Mfg Co.' mark on single side of ricasso, including (2) fullers of different lengths and widths mirrored on either side of blade; twisted wire wrapped over leather grip, with brass guard including (3) branches and retaining leather blade pad, scabbard having single 'C' mark to side of mouth, coated in dark finish and having (2) D-rings

Length: 42 3/4 inches, Width: 5 inches
Condition: Good, overall light wear consistent with normal use; no chips to edge of blade noted; blade showing signs of re-sharpening and having light surface scratches throughout, including occasional areas of discoloration but no major rust or pitting; grip may have undergone repair or re-wrap and twisted wire but still securely fastened; occasional areas of discoloration to brass patina on hilt; scabbard having occasional scuffs and scratches resulting in isolated areas of finish loss but no dents or deep rust spots
