Ancient Near East, Islamic, ca. 800 to 1000 CE. A beautiful scent pendant comprised of high-grade (97%) silver with a conical body, a rounded shoulder, and a petite rim with a discoid lid. The body is presented with scrawling botanical and floral motifs, and several perforations allow the scent of any contained materials to escape. Leather necklace strap included. Size (pendant): 0.625" W x 1.55" H (1.6 cm x 3.9 cm); size (necklace strand): 22" L (55.9 cm); quality of silver: 97%; total weight: 8.1 grams.
