[ENGLISH ORDANCE SURVEY]. One-inch old series map of England and Wales - a run of the first 58 sheets to be published in early states, housed in 11 Quarto Boxes.
Nos. 1–44, 47–48, 54–55, 58, 61, 64–65, 69–70, 83–86, largely unjoined and housed in contemporary boxes according to county or region as follows:
1. Essex, 2. Devon, 3. Dorset, 4. Cornwall, 5. South Hamphire and Sussex, 6. Parts of Kent, Surrt, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Berksire 7. Parts of Somerset, Wiltshire and Hampshire 8. Parts of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Cardiganshire and Lundy 9. Middlesex 10. Lincoln and Rutland and parts of adjacent countries 11. Parts of Berkshire, Gloucester, N. Wilts, S. Oxford, E. Worcester, W. Warwick, Carmarthen and West Clamorgan.
Engraved maps. All maps dissected, laid on linen and folding, all but the first and ninth in near uniform contemporary blue morocco book-style boxes, spines lettered in gilt, most with gilt Ordnance stamp on upper side, gilt edges, boxes somewhat rubbed and discoloured.
