Description
This lot consists of a hand drawn graphite illustration on paper, rendered in the modern style of Art Deco artist Tamara de Lempicka (Polish, 1898 - 1980). "T. de Lempicka" is hand written in graphite at bottom center. Image depicts the portrait of a young beautiful woman. The woman has long straight hair and is bare from the shoulders up. The subject is staring forward as she looks past the viewer. Drawing is done in the Art Deco style for which Modern Artist Lempicka is known. Framed work measures approximately 14.5" x 12.5" with an image sight measurement of approximately 12.5"x 10.5".
Paper label affixed en verso appears to be written in Polish. With "T. Lempicka" the only decipherable line.
Tamara de Lempicka, described as the first woman artist to be a glamour star, is known for her Art Deco-styled portraits of sexy, bedroom-eyed women in stylish dress and haunting poses. Her clear, strong style, sometimes called Soft Cubism, earned her a place at the top of the Art-Deco movement.

Condition
Piece is in overall nice condition. No notable rips, holes or tears. Paper has some smudges and marks. Some minor creasing to paper. Overall image and signature are crisp, bold and show very well.
