A tall carved wooden shrine fetish or altar figure with heavy sacrificial material covering most of the open chamber on the front of the figure. To the Bidjogo peoples this altar figure is known asof 'Orebuko-Okoto' - Fine example of the 'Great Spirit', known as "Orebuko-Okoto" These rarely seen figures are attended by a priestess and kept on local shrines. The sculpture measures 20 inches tall. Provenance: Dr Brian Healy estate, NY.
