Parian portrait doll, "Mary Todd Lincoln" (1818-1882), 1865, Germany, breast headis  made of white pure Parian, deep, square raised breast plate with sloping shoulders, softly modelled chin, blue painted eyes, small red mouth, wheaten painted hairstyle, middle parting, slightly waved forelocks, temple area with fine brushstrokes, modelled hairnet, both ears with big modelled enameled wine-red hair bow with black painted and modelled hairband, bulging French kid leather body with autographed stamp at the upper part of the body by Rose Marin Poncet, typical gusset at the bottom and the knees, upper arms are made of leather, forearms are made of Parian detailed modelled arms and hands , legs and feet are made of kid leather, with stitched down toes, elegant and richly original dresses, brown wool two-part dress with wine-red silk- ornaments, doll in unused original condition, doll and clothes  harmonise very well, 42 cm, the same doll is shown in "The Encyclopedia of French Dolls Vol. II" page 473 with picture of the stamp, this doll is a rarity

Parian-Portrait Puppe, «Mary Todd Lincoln (1818-1882), 1865, Deutschland, Brustkopf aus weißem, reinen Parian, tiefes, eckiges bombiertes Brustblatt mit abfallenden Schultern, weich mod. Kinn, blau bemalte Augen, kleiner roter Mund, weizenblond bemalte Frisur, Mittelscheitel, leicht gewellte Stirnhaare, Schläfenpartie mit feinen Pinselstrichen, mod. Haarnetz, bei beiden Ohren grosse mod. glasierte, bordeau-rote Haarmasche mit schwarz bemaltem und mod. Haarband, prallgestopfter, französischer Ziegenlederkörper mit signiertem Stempel am Oberkörper von Rose Marin Poncet ,typische Zwickel beim Gesäss und den Knien, Oberarme aus Leder, Unterarme aus Parian detailliert mod. Arme und Hände , Beine und Füsse aus Ziegenleder, mit abgenähten Zehen, elegante und reichhaltige Original-Garderobe, senfbraunes Woll-Deux Pièce mit bordeau-roten Seiden-Verzierungen, Puppe in unberührtem Originalzustand, Puppe und Kleidung harmonieren sehr gut. 42 cm.
