Porcelain potted in cube on the lower body and flat base rectangular shape rim, converging into a lemon-shape midsection and finishing into a bottle neck at the top. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine design color. All exterior adorned with abundant ripe gourds interspersed scrolling tendril and foliage among flying Fu-bat. scrolling tendril and foliage decorated on the upper mouth rim and on the foot base rim, enclosed with double fine blue rings lines. The word bat Fu, in Chinese sounds identical to the word for luck which is a pair of homophones implied linguistic symbolism the symbolic meaning of bat is commonly recognized as good fortune in Chinese culture and meaning the five blessings, is a concept that signify a grouping of certain good fortunes and luck in Chinese culture. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the underglaze grayish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
