A Superb, Chinese Ming Dynasty Xuande Reign Period, Blue and red Dragons porcelain bowl. Deep curvature, of a deep vessel, round straight upward to form the rim, wide opening rim, with a slightly raised footing. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in ruby red underglaze base color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. The Exterior adorned with several five claws snarling huge imperial dragon careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-Shui waves in a cobalt blue color dragon squama rounded the bowl. Scrolling repeating ruyi clouds decorated on the upper mouth rim, enclosed with double fine blue rings lines. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-Shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese porcelain wares, with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, the carving, and the shape. Without overlap the outlines of the design, well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct. This piece displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely exterior, glazed smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous.

Mark on under base, a vertical six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine rings, Xuande Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.
