Ming Dynasty, finely cast copper-based gilded statue of Manjusri Bodhisattva[Specifications] Height 15.2cm, width 10cm, weight 700g[Details]Manjusri Bodhisattva is a Buddhist deity, the chief of the eight great Bodhisattvas of the Xianzong school, and symbolizes wisdom. This statue of Manjusri Bodhisattva has high hair bun, a five-leaf crown on his head, and the silk on both sides is rolled in a "U" shape. He has high hair bun and round earrings; his face is round, with thin eyebrows and a high nose, his eyes are slightly downcast, his head is slightly tilted to the left, and he looks calm and peaceful. The Bodhisattva has a graceful posture, leaning slightly to the right, with his upper body exposed and his waist slender. He wears necklaces and garlands on his chest and waist, bracelets on his arms, and a shawl around his shoulders and arms. The right hand holds a Vajra sword, which means that the wisdom of the Bodhisattva is like a sharp sword, which can cut off troubles and eliminate sorrow and pain; the left hand is in front of the chest, and a lotus is opened on the left shoulder. The skirt is soft and rhythmic, with simple folds; the full lotus is sitting on the waist lotus seat, the upper edge of the seat is decorated with fine beads, and the two layers of lotus petals are round and full.
