A Chinese yellow glazed water coupe with a metal spoon and wooden stand and dating from the 18th to the 19th century. The coupe is etched with flowering branches and butterflies.

Dimensions are: 2 1/2 inches tall X 2 1/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: Minor age wear.

Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Kwok Woon Kun, formerly a shareholder of Wing On Company, a well-known department store group in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This collection was collected in Hong Kong prior to Mr. Kwok's death in 1969. His collection was shipped to Canada in 1981 and was inherited by Mr. Kwok’s daughter and grandson.  Items from the same collector were sold at our September Fine Asian Art & Antiques auctions, 2019.
