Description

Unusual nineteenth-century Louis XV style ormulu pedestal clock made of a variety of wood with veneer including pine, mahogany, rosewood. Gilded white and black enamel dial with arabic and romanOrmulu decoration around face removable. Total Height: 213 cm (7 feet) Width (at widest point): 51 cm (20 in) Depth (at deepest point): 34.5 cm (13.5 in)

Condition

The clock mechanism is spring driven and the spring suspension is missing. It is therefore not clear if the clock could function. The decoration surrounding the face of the clock is loose and removable. At one time it was likely screwed into the top of the clock. Appears to be missing one piece of trim below the face.There is some loss to the veneer of the case.
