Unusual Pair of Neo-Grec Painted and Parcel-Gilt Finials
fourth quarter 19th century, probably French, each with a wooden amphora-form finial painted with anthemia and flanked by griffins trimmed with gilt carved scrolls, and raised on anthemion-form feet supporting a platform painted with a Greek-key fret, now with brass caps on the tops.
