This lot consists of a fine art print on paper, done in the Impressionist style of Auguste Renoir (French, 1841-1919). An inscription at lower left corner reads, "Renoir". Framed piece measures approximately 13.25" x 11.75", with an approximate image sight of 5.5" x 4".

In this handsome etching, two young girls, awash in careful line-work, appear to be suspended in a beautifully personal moment. One girl carefully adjusts her companion's hair, as the other gazes sweetly into the distance. A disarming and captivating piece.

Auguste Renoir was born February 25, 1841 in Limoges, France. He was a leading member of the Impressionists. His work is characterized by a richness of feeling and a warm response to the world we live in.
